Who has the right?

Ok so this is probably the biggest invitation for a flame-war anyone could possibly make, but this article exists to inform you that you have no rights. None. Not one.

But…don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that the guy who is going to mug you can do what he pleases either. He doesn’t have rights either. Specifically, he doesn’t have the right to mug you. At least agree with me on that?

Ah, so you do agree that he doesn’t have that right. But you think that you DO have some rights? What are they? Where do they come from? Can I see one?

Oh, so they’re not real…they’re just conceptual? Ok, I get it now!

Seriously though, I shall stop this faux-conversation and taunting.

‘Rights’ needn’t be referenced, except when one points out their absence. The young boy had NO right to steal the apple, the man had no right to mug you.

No one has any rights (read: third-party-allotted mysterious entitlement claims). They only have choices.

And some of those choices are rational. And some are irrational. And the rational ones have a logical rationale. And the illogical ones have false rationales.

Can you tell the difference?

What do you think?
